  • Child seats

    The use of child safety seats has been a legal requirement in Japan for children under six years old since April, 2000. Be sure to reserve a child seat along with the rental car when planning to ride with children. Baby seats specifically for babies under nine months old are also available. Please inquire at the time of reservation.

  • 4WD (Four-wheel drive)

    4WD (four-wheel drive) vehicles offer peace of mind when going skiing and on snowy winter roads.
    Depending on the vehicle selected, 4WD may be available, so please specify 4WD when making a reservation.。

  • Sheets / Rope

    These are sheets and ropes required for moving and transporting goods. Please ask our staff when making your reservation.

  • JAF Card

    Not available for T2 (vans), T3, T4, and BUS classes.

  • Fuel expenses

    Vehicles are rented out with a full tank of fuel, so we ask that you return the vehicle with a full tank of fuel. In the event that the tank is not returned with a full tank of fuel, the renter will be charged a fee using the specified kilometer conversion rate, based on the actual number of kilometers traveled.

  • One-Way Rentals

    If the vehicle is returned to one of our locations other than the one it originated from, a separate fee will be charged as specified, only in cases when traveling to a different prefecture. Fees vary depending on vehicle class.
    *One-way rentals may not be available for some vehicle types and shops.

  • About Pets

    Please note that if you wish to bring your pet along with you, you must reserve a designated picnic/ground sheet. Pets must be placed in a cage and the designated picnic/ground sheet must be placed under the cage.

    Conditions for bringing pets
    (that must be met by the customer)
    1. Inform us that you wish to take your pet with you when you make a reservation.
    2. Pets must be placed in a cage no larger than 70cm x 90cm x 75cm inside the vehicle. (The cage must be provided by the customer.)
    3. The cage should be placed in the luggage space.
    4. Place the picnic/ground sheet designated by TOYOTA Rental & Leasing under the cage. (Picnic/ground sheets are available at our shops for JPY 550 per sheet including tax.)
    5. Sign an agreement form.
    6. If you do not comply with the above items 1-5, you will not be allowed to take your pet with you in the vehicle.
    Non-Operation Charge (NOC)
    A non-operation charge (NOC) will be charged in the event that a vehicle needs to be repaired due to significant odor, stain, or damage.
    However, assistance dogs (nursing dogs, guide dogs, etc.) are not subject to the above rules (each case will be handled individually). Agreement forms are available at our shops. Please sign one at the location.
